Loose or damaged ribbon cable between touch control and power board, Oxidized connectors, Defective user interface PCB, Faulty main power module logic
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the appliance from mains before removing the glass top or control panel.
- Access control area: Remove the cooktop from the countertop and carefully lift the glass surface according to the service instructions.
- Inspect ribbon cables: Check the flat cable from the touch control panel to the main board for kinks, tears, or burn marks. Reseat both ends fully.
- Clean connectors: Use contact cleaner on the connectors if corrosion is visible. Allow to dry completely before reassembly.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of liquid ingress around the control area. Dry thoroughly and avoid using the cooktop until fully dry.
- If E6 persists: Replace the user interface PCB first; if the fault remains, the main power module may also need replacement.
