Possible Causes

Broken oven temperature sensor, Unplugged or loose sensor connector, Damaged wiring harness between sensor and control board, Faulty control board input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the oven cavity or rear panel.

  • Locate sensor: Inside the oven, find the thin metal probe (NTC sensor) usually mounted on the rear wall.
  • Check connection: Remove the rear panel and verify the sensor wires are firmly connected to the harness and control board.
  • Measure resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance with a multimeter at room temperature (typically around 1000–1100 Ω at 20–25°C; check Etna specs). An open circuit indicates a bad sensor.
  • Inspect wiring: Look for cuts, burns, or pinched sections in the sensor wiring.
  • Replace sensor: If resistance is out of range or open, replace the oven temperature sensor with the correct Etna part.
