Possible Causes
Shorted keypad membrane, Stuck key on touch panel, Failed electronic oven control (EOC), Moisture ingress into control area
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Reset control: Turn off the breaker for 1–2 minutes, then restore power. If F1 returns immediately, proceed with inspection.
- Check for stuck keys: Press each button firmly and release. If any button feels different (stiff or sunken), the keypad may be damaged.
- Inspect for moisture: Remove the control panel and look for signs of steam or liquid damage. Allow to dry completely if damp.
- Disconnect keypad: On some models, you can disconnect the keypad ribbon from the control board and power up. If F1 disappears, the keypad is faulty; if it remains, the control board is defective.
- Replace faulty part: Replace the keypad/touch panel or the entire oven control board as indicated by the test.
