Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Obstructed fan blades, Faulty fan relay on control board, Broken fan wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool before accessing the fan.
- Check fan operation: Start a convection program and listen for the fan. If it does not run, proceed with inspection.
- Access fan: Remove the rear oven panel (inside cavity) to expose the convection fan. Check for food debris or foil blocking the blades.
- Spin test: Turn the fan by hand; it should spin freely. If stiff or seized, replace the fan motor.
- Electrical test: With power off, check continuity of the fan motor and inspect wiring to the control board.
- Control board: If the fan motor tests good but never receives power, the fan relay on the control board may be defective and the board should be replaced.
