Possible Causes
Defective spark module, No mains power to ignition system, Broken ignition switch on burner knob, Loose ignition wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off all burner knobs and close the gas supply valve before working on the cooktop. Avoid open flames.
- Check power: Ensure the cooktop is plugged in and the outlet has power. Test with another appliance.
- Test ignition switches: Turn each burner knob to the ignition position and listen for clicking. If none click, the spark module may not be powered or is defective.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the cooktop top panel and check the wiring from the ignition switches to the spark module for loose or disconnected terminals.
- Module replacement: If power is present and switches are working but no sparks occur, replace the spark module with the correct Etna part.
