Possible Causes
Clogged burner cap or head ports, Misaligned burner cap, Incorrect injector (jet) size, Insufficient primary air due to blocked air shutter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the burner and allow it to cool. Close the gas supply if removing injectors.
- Clean burner: Remove the burner cap and head. Soak in warm soapy water and clean ports with a soft brush or wooden toothpick (do not enlarge holes).
- Re-seat cap: Ensure the burner cap sits flat and centered on the burner base.
- Check for debris: Inspect the injector area for food or grease blocking the gas outlet.
- Air adjustment: Some models have adjustable air shutters. If the flame is very yellow, slightly open the air shutter; if noisy and lifting, reduce air.
- Injector verification: Confirm the correct injector is installed for your gas type (natural gas vs LPG) according to the Etna rating plate.
