Control knobs on Fagor gas or electric range are hard to turn or feel loose and wobbly.

Safety first: For gas valves, shut off gas before removing knobs if you will access the valve body.

• Remove knobs: Pull the knobs straight off the shafts.
• Clean area: Wipe away grease and debris from around the shafts with a mild cleaner.
• Inspect knobs: Check for cracks or rounded internal splines. Replace any damaged knobs.
• Check valve/switch: If the shaft itself is loose or difficult to turn, the underlying gas valve or switch may be worn and should be replaced by a technician.
