Possible Causes
Blocked cooling air vents, Failed cooling fan, Overheated power module, Poor installation with inadequate ventilation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the hob and isolate from mains before inspecting ventilation or internal components.
- Check ventilation openings: Inspect the front and underside ventilation slots of the Fagor hob. Remove any dust, grease filters, or obstructions. Do not block airflow with drawers or items under the hob.
- Verify installation clearance: Ensure the hob has the minimum clearance specified in the Fagor installation manual (typically several centimeters of free space below and behind). Remove stored items from the cabinet directly under the hob.
- Allow cooling: Leave the hob powered off for 20–30 minutes to cool completely, then try again with a lower power setting.
- Listen for cooling fan: When a zone is on high power, you should hear the internal fan. If there is no fan noise, the cooling fan or its control on the power board may have failed.
- If Er02 recurs quickly: The power module temperature sensor or cooling fan assembly is likely defective. Replacement of the fan and/or power module is recommended and should be performed by a service technician.
