Possible Causes
Incorrect electrical connection (wrong phase or voltage), Loose terminal block connections, Defective power module, Internal short in induction coil
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This involves mains voltage. If you are not trained, contact a qualified electrician or Fagor service. Always isolate power at the breaker before opening any covers.
- Check supply voltage: Verify that the hob is connected according to the Fagor wiring diagram (single‑phase or two‑phase as specified). Incorrect bridging on the terminal block can cause overcurrent errors.
- Inspect terminal block: With power off, remove the rear or bottom cover to access the connection block. Check for burnt, loose, or discolored wires and tighten screws to manufacturer torque.
- Test different zones: If Er04 occurs only on one zone, that zone’s power module or coil may be shorted.
- Reset and test at lower power: After correcting wiring, reset power and test at medium power. If the error returns, the internal power module likely needs replacement.
