Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor on power board, Damaged wiring harness to sensor, Failed power module electronics
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains before removing it from the worktop or opening any covers.
- Allow cooling: Ensure the hob is completely cool. Sometimes an overheated sensor can temporarily misread; leave it off for 30 minutes and retry.
- Power reset: Switch off at the breaker for several minutes, then restore power.
- Internal inspection (advanced): Remove the hob from the countertop and open the bottom cover. Locate the NTC sensor(s) clipped to the heat sink or power module. Check for broken wires or loose connectors.
- Measure sensor: Using a multimeter, measure resistance of the NTC at room temperature and compare with Fagor specifications. An open or shorted reading indicates a bad sensor.
- Replace faulty parts: Replace the NTC sensor or the entire power module if the sensor is integrated and not serviceable separately.
