How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the appliance from mains before inspection.
- Inspect sensor wiring: Check where the sensor wires pass through the rear of the oven cavity. Ensure insulation is intact and not pinched by metal panels.
- Disconnect sensor and retest: With power off, unplug the sensor from the control board. Restore power briefly: if F4 changes to a different code, the sensor is likely shorted and should be replaced.
- Replace sensor: If the sensor measures very low resistance (near 0 Ω), install a new sensor.
- Control board: If a new sensor does not resolve F4, the oven control board input circuit may be damaged and require replacement.
