Gas burners on Fagor gas cooktop will not ignite; clicking sound may be present but no flame.

Safety first: Turn all burner knobs to OFF. Do not use open flames to test for gas leaks. If you smell gas, ventilate the area and shut off the gas supply immediately.

• Check gas supply: Verify that the main gas valve to the cooktop is open and that other gas appliances work.
• Align burner parts: Remove the burner cap and head, clean off debris, and ensure they are seated correctly on the base.
• Clean burner ports: Use a soft brush or wooden toothpick to clear clogged holes. Do not enlarge the ports.
• Test ignition: Turn the knob to ignite and observe for sparks at the electrode. If there is no spark on that burner but others spark, the electrode or its wiring may be faulty.
• Replace electrode if needed: Disconnect power and gas, remove the burner base, and install a new spark electrode for the affected burner.
