Oven door on Fagor range does not close properly; heat escapes and front panel gets very hot.

Safety first: Allow the oven to cool completely before adjusting the door.

• Inspect gasket: Check the entire perimeter of the door seal for tears or flattened sections. Replace if necessary.
• Check hinges: Open the door and inspect hinges for play or bending. Tighten hinge screws at the door and frame.
• Door removal: Many Fagor doors can be removed by opening to the broil stop position and lifting off the hinges. Remove and reseat to ensure proper engagement.
• Replace hinges: If the door still sags or does not seal, replace the hinge set.
