Electric Falcon range shows F1 on the display and beeps continuously; oven functions may be disabled.

Safety first: Disconnect the range from power at the breaker before removing any panels. High voltage is present even when the oven is off.

• Power reset: Turn the cooker off at the mains for 5–10 minutes, then restore power. If F1 clears and does not return, it may have been a transient fault.
• Check oven sensor resistance:
  • Remove the rear panel (for freestanding Falcon ranges) or access the sensor from inside the oven cavity (small probe usually at the rear wall).
  • Unplug the oven temperature sensor connector.
  • Measure resistance with a multimeter at room temperature; most Falcon sensors read ~1080 Ω at 20°C. If reading is open (OL), shorted (near 0 Ω), or far from spec, replace the sensor.
• Inspect wiring: Trace the sensor harness from the probe to the electronic oven control (EOC) behind the control panel. Look for burnt, pinched, or broken wires and reseat any loose connectors.
• Control board check: If the sensor and wiring test good but F1 persists, the EOC/clock PCB is likely faulty and should be replaced. Label and photograph all connections before swapping the board.

Do not bypass the sensor or operate the oven with a known sensor fault; this can cause overheating and fire risk.
