Possible Causes

Incompatible cookware (non-magnetic), Damaged induction coil for that zone, Faulty pan detection sensor circuit, Loose connector on induction power module

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the cooktop at the isolator before removing any glass or panels. Capacitors in induction modules can retain charge; only qualified persons should service internal electronics.

  • Verify cookware: Ensure the pan is induction-compatible (magnetic base, flat, correct size). Test with a magnet; it should stick firmly to the base.
  • Try another zone: Place the same pan on a different induction zone. If it works elsewhere, the issue is with the original zone.
  • Reset power: Turn off power for 5 minutes, then restore. If F20 clears temporarily but returns on the same zone, internal service is required.
  • Internal checks (technician level): Remove the cooktop from the worktop, lift the glass, and inspect the induction coil and wiring for the affected zone. Check for cracked coil, burnt connectors, or loose plugs at the power module. Replace the coil or module as needed.

Do not operate the cooktop with cracked glass or exposed coils.
