Possible Causes

Failed NTC sensor attached to glass, Sensor detached from glass surface, Damaged sensor wiring to control PCB, Faulty control board temperature input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the cooktop from mains power before lifting the glass surface.

  • Power reset: Turn off power for 10 minutes and then restore. If F22 clears and does not return, it may have been a transient reading.
  • Access sensor: Remove the cooktop from the worktop and carefully lift the glass. Locate the small NTC sensor clipped or bonded to the underside of the glass near the affected zone.
  • Check attachment: Ensure the sensor is firmly attached to the glass. Re-secure or replace the clip/adhesive if loose.
  • Test sensor: Measure resistance at room temperature and compare with Falcon’s specification. Replace the sensor if open, shorted, or out of range.
  • Inspect wiring and board: Check the harness to the control PCB for damage. If the sensor and wiring are good, replace the control PCB.

Do not use adhesives not rated for high temperature; they can fail and cause inaccurate temperature readings.
