Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Obstructed fan blades, Faulty fan relay on control board, Broken wiring to fan motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. Internal metal edges are sharp; wear gloves.
- Access fan: Remove the oven rear interior panel to expose the convection fan.
- Check for obstruction: Spin the fan blade by hand. If it is jammed by debris or warped metal, clear the obstruction or replace the fan blade.
- Test motor: Disconnect the fan motor leads and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
- Wiring and relay: Inspect wiring from the motor to the control board. If wiring is intact and the motor is good, the fan relay on the EOC may be faulty; replace the EOC.
Do not run the oven in fan modes with a seized fan; this can overheat the element and damage the cavity.
