Possible Causes
Failed touch membrane or glass touch panel, Moisture ingress behind control fascia, Damaged ribbon cable between keypad and control board, Faulty EOC keypad interface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the appliance from mains power before removing the control panel.
- Power reset and dry-out: Turn off power for 30 minutes. If the error appeared after heavy boiling or cleaning, allow the control area to dry completely, then restore power.
- Inspect fascia: Remove the control panel bezel and check for signs of moisture, corrosion, or physical damage to the keypad or glass touch surface.
- Check ribbon cable: Disconnect and reseat the keypad ribbon cable at the EOC. Inspect for cracks or burnt spots. Replace the keypad or fascia assembly if damaged.
- Control board replacement: If a known-good keypad still triggers F7, the EOC keypad interface is likely faulty and the board should be replaced.
Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the control fascia; spray onto a cloth first to prevent moisture intrusion.
