Possible Causes
Open bake and grill elements, Tripped thermal cut-out / overheat thermostat, Faulty EOC not sending power to elements, Loose or burnt wiring at element terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. Elements operate at high voltage.
- Check obvious settings: Ensure the timer is not in delay mode and that a valid cooking function and temperature are selected.
- Inspect elements: Look for visible breaks or blisters on bake and grill elements. Replace any damaged elements.
- Test thermal cut-out: Access the rear of the oven and locate the thermal cut-out thermostat on the top of the cavity. Check for continuity. Some models have a manual reset button; press it if present.
- Measure element voltage (technician): With power restored and a bake cycle selected, carefully measure voltage at the element terminals. If no voltage is present but the relay clicks, the EOC or wiring may be faulty.
If you are not comfortable testing live voltage, contact a qualified technician.
