Possible Causes
Weak or partially failed bake element, Faulty oven temperature sensor drifting high, Poor door seal allowing heat loss, Mis-calibrated EOC temperature offset
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an oven-safe thermometer in the centre of the cavity and compare actual temperature to the setpoint over 20–30 minutes.
- Inspect bake element: Even if it glows, a partially failed element can underperform. Test resistance and compare with Falcon specifications; replace if significantly higher than normal.
- Check door seal: Inspect the oven door gasket for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace if it does not seal evenly all around.
- Sensor and calibration: Test the oven sensor resistance. If within spec, consult the user manual for temperature calibration options in the control menu and adjust as needed.
Persistent large temperature errors after these checks usually indicate a failing sensor or control board.
