Possible Causes
Failed oven cavity cooling fan, Obstructed fan blades, Faulty fan speed sensor or tachometer feedback, Wiring fault between fan and control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool. Internal metal edges can be sharp; wear cut-resistant gloves.
- Listen for fan operation: When the oven is started (before error appears), you should hear the cooling fan run. If it is silent or noisy, suspect a fan issue.
- Access fan: Remove the rear panel to access the cooling fan assembly. Check that the fan spins freely by hand and is not obstructed by insulation or wiring.
- Clean and inspect: Remove any debris and ensure the fan blades are intact. Check the fan connector for secure fit and no signs of overheating.
- Electrical test (qualified persons): With power applied and a call for heat, measure voltage at the fan terminals. If voltage is present but the fan does not run, replace the fan motor. If no voltage, the control board or wiring may be faulty.
- Replace fan: If the fan is seized or noisy, replace the cooling fan assembly with the correct Fisher & Paykel part.
