Possible Causes
Blocked cooling vents, Failed cooling fan, Faulty over-temperature thermostat, Control board misreading temperature
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the appliance to cool completely.
- Check installation clearance: Ensure the range or wall oven has the required ventilation clearances specified by Fisher & Paykel. Do not block front or rear vents.
- Inspect vents: Clean dust and grease from front kick panel vents and rear vents. Ensure warm air can escape freely.
- Test cooling fan: Confirm that the cooling fan runs whenever the oven is heating. If not, test and replace the fan as needed.
- Over-temperature thermostat: Some models have a manual-reset safety thermostat on the rear. If tripped, press the reset button (if present) after cooling. If it trips repeatedly, investigate fan and airflow issues.
- Control board: If airflow and fan are correct but F32 persists, the control board may be misinterpreting temperature and require replacement.
