Possible Causes

Shorted NTC sensor, Moisture inside sensor connector, Pinched sensor wiring shorting to chassis, Failed sensor input on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker. Do not operate the oven until the fault is resolved.

  • Visual inspection: Remove the rear panel to access the sensor harness. Look for crushed or melted insulation where the harness passes through the oven liner.
  • Disconnect and test sensor: Unplug the sensor and measure resistance. A very low reading (near 0 Ω) indicates a shorted sensor that must be replaced.
  • Check for moisture: Inspect the connector for signs of moisture or corrosion. Dry thoroughly and clean contacts if needed.
  • Harness check: If the sensor tests normal, inspect the harness for shorts to ground using a multimeter. Repair or replace any damaged sections.
  • Control board: Persistent F4 with good sensor and wiring suggests a shorted input circuit on the control board; replacement is usually required.
