Possible Causes
Warped door gasket sticking to frame, Misaligned latch, Residual heat keeping safety lock engaged, Mechanical jam in latch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool completely.
- Gentle pressure: Once cool, apply gentle inward pressure on the door while trying to open it. Do not pry with tools that can damage the glass.
- Inspect gasket: Look for areas where the gasket may be stuck to the frame. Gently free it with a plastic tool.
- Access latch: If the door remains stuck, access the latch from the top or rear and manually move the latch arm to release the door.
- Replace latch or gasket: If sticking recurs, replace the door latch assembly and/or gasket.
