How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before testing components. Use heat-resistant gloves when working near a hot oven.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an oven thermometer in the center and compare actual temperature to the set temperature over several cycles.
- Inspect elements: Ensure the bake element glows evenly along its length. Dark spots or breaks indicate failure.
- Check convection fan: In convection modes, confirm the fan runs smoothly. Replace the fan motor if it is noisy or not turning.
- Sensor test: Test the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature. Replace if out of specification.
- Calibration: Some Fisher & Paykel models allow temperature offset adjustment in the settings menu. Adjust only after verifying hardware is sound.
