Possible Causes

Shorted touchpad membrane, Failed electronic oven control (EOC), Moisture intrusion into control panel, Damaged ribbon cable between keypad and control

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the control panel.

  • Power cycle: Turn the breaker off for 5–10 minutes, then restore power. If F11 returns immediately, proceed.
  • Inspect control panel:
    • Remove the rear control panel cover (backguard) screws.
    • Locate the ribbon cable from the touchpad to the EOC.
    • Disconnect and inspect the ribbon for corrosion, burns, or kinks.
    • Clean contacts gently with isopropyl alcohol and reconnect firmly.
  • Check for moisture:
    • Look for signs of liquid spills or steam damage around the control area.
    • Allow the panel to dry completely if moisture is present.
  • Isolate keypad vs. board:
    • If possible on your model, power up with the keypad ribbon disconnected. If F11 disappears, the keypad is shorted.
    • If F11 persists with the keypad disconnected, the EOC is likely faulty.
  • Replace faulty part:
    • Replace the control panel / touchpad assembly if the keypad is shorted.
    • Replace the electronic oven control board if the fault is on the board.

Note: Some Frigidaire Professional ranges have the keypad and display integrated; in that case, the entire control assembly must be replaced.
