Possible Causes
Corrupted EEPROM on control board, Incompatible or misconfigured keypad, Loose keypad ribbon connection, Failed electronic oven control (EOC)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing any panels.
- Reset control: Turn power off for 10 minutes to clear transient memory errors. Restore power and check if F13 returns.
- Check keypad ribbon:
- Remove the backguard cover to access the control board.
- Disconnect and reseat the keypad ribbon cable several times to clean contacts.
- Inspect for bent pins or damaged traces.
- Verify correct parts:
- If the control or keypad was recently replaced, confirm the part numbers match your exact Frigidaire Professional model.
- Incorrect keypad or control can trigger F13.
- Replace control board:
- If F13 persists with a known-correct keypad and good connections, the EEPROM on the EOC is likely corrupted.
- Replace the electronic oven control board with the correct OEM part.
Warning: Do not attempt to reprogram or modify the EEPROM yourself; use the correct factory control board.
