Possible Causes

Open oven temperature sensor (RTD), Broken sensor wiring harness, Loose sensor connector at control board, Damaged sensor plug

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool.

  • Access sensor:
    • Locate the oven temperature sensor probe on the rear wall of the oven cavity.
    • Remove the two screws and gently pull the sensor forward.
    • Disconnect the sensor connector.
  • Test sensor:
    • Measure resistance across the sensor terminals at room temperature.
    • Expected reading is ~1050–1100 Ω at 70°F (21°C).
    • If the circuit is open (infinite resistance) or far out of range, replace the oven temperature sensor.
  • Check harness:
    • If the sensor tests good, inspect the harness from the sensor to the EOC for breaks or loose connections.
    • Reseat the connector at the control board.
  • Control board:
    • If wiring and sensor are good but F30 persists, the sensor input circuit on the EOC may be faulty; replace the electronic oven control board.
