Possible Causes
Shorted oven temperature sensor, Pinched or shorted sensor wiring, Moisture in sensor connector, Failed EOC sensor input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before testing.
- Test sensor resistance:
- Access the oven temperature sensor as for F30.
- Measure resistance at room temperature; a shorted sensor will read very low resistance (near 0 Ω).
- If shorted, replace the oven temperature sensor.
- Inspect wiring:
- Check the harness for pinched spots where insulation may be damaged (especially where it passes through the rear panel).
- Repair or replace any damaged wiring.
- Check connectors:
- Look for moisture or corrosion in the sensor connector and at the EOC.
- Dry and clean connectors; reseat firmly.
- Replace EOC if needed:
- If sensor and wiring are good but F31 persists, replace the electronic oven control board.
