  • Adjust door hinges if the door is sagging or misaligned.
• Inspect lock assembly:
  • Access the door lock motor assembly from the rear or top.
  • Look for broken plastic parts, bent linkage, or obstructions.
• Test lock motor:
  • Apply 120 VAC (only if you are qualified) or use a multimeter to verify the motor coil is not open.
  • If the motor does not run when commanded or coil is open, replace the door lock motor assembly.
• Check lock switch:
  • Use a multimeter to verify the lock switch changes from open to closed when the lock is engaged.
  • Replace the lock assembly if the switch is defective.
