How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. Internal metal parts may be sharp; wear cut-resistant gloves.
- Check for airflow blockage:
- Inspect front and rear vents for grease, dust, or obstructions.
- Clean vents thoroughly.
- Test cooling fan:
- Access the cooling fan (usually behind the rear panel or under the cooktop).
- Spin the fan blade by hand; it should move freely.
- Check for 120 VAC at the fan motor when the oven is hot or in a high-temperature mode (only if you are qualified to work on live circuits).
- If voltage is present but the fan does not run, replace the oven cooling fan motor.
- Inspect wiring and relay:
- Check harness connections between the fan and EOC.
- If no voltage is sent to a good fan, the fan relay on the EOC may be faulty; replace the electronic oven control board.
