Weak igniter not maintaining proper current, Dirty flame sensor (if separate), Faulty gas valve coil, Poor gas pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off gas and power before servicing. If you suspect gas pressure issues, contact your gas supplier.
- Replace igniter:
- Even if the igniter glows and lights the burner, a weak igniter can cause the valve to drop out.
- Replace the bake igniter with an OEM Frigidaire Professional part.
- Clean burner and sensor:
- Clean burner ports and any flame sensing surfaces with a soft brush.
- Gas valve:
- If the problem persists with a new igniter, replace the oven gas safety valve.
