Oven heats but never reaches set temperature or takes excessively long to preheat

Safety first: Turn off power before testing components.

• Check elements:
  • Verify both bake and broil elements glow during preheat (many Frigidaire Professional ovens use both).
  • Test elements for proper resistance and replace any that are open or significantly out of spec.
• Test sensor:
  • Measure oven sensor resistance at room temperature (~1050–1100 Ω).
  • Replace the oven temperature sensor if out of range.
• Inspect door gasket:
  • Check for tears, gaps, or hardened sections.
  • Replace the oven door gasket if it does not seal evenly.
• Calibrate oven:
  • Use an oven thermometer to compare set vs. actual temperature.
  • Adjust the temperature offset in the user settings if your model supports it.
