Possible Causes

Shorted membrane keypad, Failed electronic oven control (EOC), Moisture or contamination in touch panel, Damaged ribbon cable between keypad and control

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker to stop the beeping and prevent further damage.

  • Power reset: Leave power off for 5–10 minutes, then restore. If F11 returns immediately or when pressing keys, continue.
  • Inspect keypad and overlay:
    • Check for stuck buttons, spills, or moisture around the control panel.
    • Wipe the panel with a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly.
  • Access control panel:
    • With power OFF, remove the backguard or front control panel screws to access the electronic oven control and keypad ribbon cable.
    • Disconnect and reseat the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board.
    • Inspect the ribbon for corrosion, burns, or cracks.
  • Isolate keypad vs. control:
    • Some Frigidaire models allow you to disconnect the keypad ribbon and power up. If F11 appears with the keypad disconnected, the control board is faulty. If F11 only appears with keypad connected, the keypad is faulty.
  • Replace faulty part: Replace the membrane keypad/touch panel or the entire control panel assembly as designed for your model. If keypad is integrated into the EOC, replace the EOC.
