Possible Causes
Open (broken) oven temperature sensor (RTD), Unplugged or loose sensor connector, Broken wire in sensor harness, Faulty EOC sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the oven sensor or control.
- Locate the sensor: Inside the oven cavity, find the thin metal rod (sensor) at the back wall, usually upper left or center, held by 2 screws.
- Test sensor resistance:
- Remove the screws and gently pull the sensor forward to access the connector.
- Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance with a multimeter. At room temperature (~70°F/21°C), it should read about 1050–1100 Ω.
- If the reading is infinite (open) or far off spec, replace the sensor.
- Check harness:
- If sensor tests good, check continuity from the sensor connector to the EOC connector at the control board.
- Repair or replace any open or damaged wires.
- Replace EOC if needed: If sensor and wiring are good but F30 persists, the EOC sensor circuit is faulty and the control board must be replaced.
