Possible Causes

Shorted oven temperature sensor, Pinched or shorted sensor wiring harness, Moisture in sensor connector, Failed EOC sensor circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before testing.

  • Access and test sensor:
    • Remove the oven temperature sensor as described for F30.
    • Measure resistance at room temperature. A shorted sensor will read very low resistance (near 0 Ω).
    • If shorted, replace the sensor.
  • Inspect wiring:
    • Check the harness from sensor to EOC for pinched spots where insulation may be cut, especially where it passes through the rear oven wall.
    • Repair or replace any shorted wiring.
  • Control board: If sensor and wiring are good, the EOC sensor input may be shorted internally. Replace the electronic oven control.
