• Check door alignment:
  • Ensure the oven door closes fully and evenly. A bent hinge or misaligned door can prevent the latch from engaging.
• Access lock assembly:
  • Remove the top panel or rear panel (depending on model) to access the door lock motor and latch assembly.
  • Inspect for broken plastic parts, bent latch, or disconnected rods.
• Test lock motor and switches:
  • With power OFF, disconnect the lock motor and measure resistance; an open motor is defective.
  • Check continuity of lock position switches while manually moving the latch.
• Replace lock assembly: If motor or switches are faulty, replace the door lock motor and latch assembly as a unit.
• Control board: If lock assembly and wiring are good, the EOC may not be driving the lock correctly and may need replacement.
