Possible Causes
Stuck door lock motor, Failed lock switch, Jammed latch mechanism, Faulty EOC lock drive circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. Allow the oven to cool completely before attempting to unlock the door manually.
- Manual door release:
- On many Frigidaire models, you can access the lock from the top by lifting the cooktop or removing the back panel.
- Locate the lock motor and gently move the latch arm to the unlocked position with a tool.
- Inspect for mechanical binding:
- Look for bent latch, grease buildup, or foreign objects around the lock.
- Clean and lubricate lightly with high-temp-safe lubricant if needed.
- Test lock motor and switches: As with F50, check resistance and switch continuity. Replace the door lock assembly if defective.
