Possible Causes
Failed door lock motor, Open lock motor wiring, Faulty EOC lock relay, Mechanical jam in lock mechanism
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and allow oven to cool fully.
- Manual unlock (if door stuck):
- Access the lock assembly from the top or rear and manually move the latch to unlock.
- Test lock motor:
- Disconnect the lock motor and measure resistance; an open motor indicates failure.
- Check for 120V (or specified voltage) at the motor leads during a lock/unlock command (qualified persons only).
- Inspect mechanism:
- Look for bent latch, broken gears, or obstructions.
- Replace assembly: Replace the door lock motor and latch assembly if motor or mechanism is defective. If motor never receives power, replace the EOC.
