Oven door will not close fully; heat escapes and oven may not reach temperature.

Safety first: Turn off power and allow oven to cool before working on the door.

• Inspect hinges:
  • Open the door and check hinges for bending or looseness.
  • On many Frigidaire models, the door can be removed by opening to the broil stop position and lifting off the hinges.
• Check hinge receivers:
  • Inspect the hinge sockets in the oven frame for cracks or deformation.
• Replace components:
  • Replace oven door hinges and/or hinge receivers if worn or damaged.
• Inspect gasket:
  • Ensure the door gasket is seated properly and not bunched up preventing closure.
