E0
Gaggenau
User Interface Lock / Configuration Error
Induction cooktop controls unresponsive, display shows E0 on one or more zones

Possible Causes
Control panel locked (child lock active), Incorrect cookware or no pan detected, Temporary control board glitch, Moisture or debris on touch panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: For checks that do not require opening the appliance, you may leave power connected. If you need to remove the cooktop from the counter or open panels, switch off the circuit breaker and verify power is off.
- Check child lock: On most Gaggenau induction models, E0 can indicate a locked control. Press and hold the lock key (or the two keys marked with a key symbol) for 4–5 seconds until the lock indicator disappears.
- Remove moisture: Wipe the glass surface and touch controls with a soft dry cloth. Moisture or spills can cause false touches and E0.
- Verify cookware: Place a flat-bottomed, induction-compatible pan (magnetic base) centered on the zone. If E0 clears and power level appears, the previous pan was unsuitable.
- Power reset: Turn the cooktop off, then switch the circuit breaker off for 2–3 minutes. Restore power and test again.
- If E0 persists on all zones: This may indicate a user interface or main power module configuration fault. Do not open the unit yourself; contact a Gaggenau-authorized technician for diagnostics.
