Possible Causes
Clogged burner ports, Misaligned burner cap, Low gas pressure, Dirty or cracked igniter electrode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the burner if it does not light within a few seconds to avoid gas buildup. Allow components to cool before handling.
- Check burner cap: Ensure the burner cap is properly seated and centered on the burner base.
- Clean burner ports: Remove the cap and burner head. Use a soft brush or wooden toothpick to clear debris from the gas ports. Do not enlarge the holes.
- Clean igniter: Gently clean the igniter electrode with a soft brush or cloth to remove grease and residue.
- Dry components: If there was a spill, dry the burner area thoroughly. Moisture can prevent ignition.
- If problem persists on all burners: Have a technician check gas pressure and regulator settings specific to Gaggenau models.
