Possible Causes
Aging oven temperature sensor, Control calibration offset, Poor rack placement or load, Door seal heat loss
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Use caution when measuring oven temperature; surfaces are hot.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an oven-safe thermometer in the center of the oven and compare actual temperature to the setpoint after preheating.
- Adjust calibration: Many Gaggenau ovens allow temperature offset adjustment in the settings menu. Refer to the user manual to increase or decrease the displayed temperature.
- Inspect door gasket: Check the oven door seal for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace if damaged.
- Test sensor (technician): If large deviations persist, test the oven temperature sensor resistance and replace if out of spec.
