How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off gas and power before working near gas valves.
- Remove knobs: Pull knobs straight off the shafts.
- Clean stems: Wipe valve stems with a cloth lightly dampened with mild detergent. Do not spray cleaner directly into valves.
- Inspect knobs: Replace any knobs with cracked or stripped inserts.
- Valve replacement: If valves are still stiff or binding, a technician should replace the gas valves.
