Safety: Turn off power at the breaker immediately. Do not use the cooktop until repaired; exposed elements can cause shock or fire.
- Do not tape or glue: The glass must be replaced; do not attempt to repair cracks.
- Order correct top: Use the full model number to order the correct GE Profile glass cooktop.
- Replace assembly: Disconnect power, remove control knobs and mounting screws, lift off the old glass, transfer elements and brackets to the new top, and reinstall.
