Possible Causes
Shorted oven sensor, Failed EOC temperature circuit, Relay on control board stuck closed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: If the oven is overheating, shut off the breaker immediately.
- Test sensor: As with F2/F3, check the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature (~1080 Ω). Replace if out of spec.
- Check sensor at high temp: If possible, heat the sensor tip gently with a heat gun while monitoring resistance; it should increase smoothly. Erratic readings indicate a bad sensor.
- Inspect control board: Look for burnt spots near the bake/broil relays. If relays appear welded or board is damaged, replace the EOC.
- Do not use self-clean: Until resolved, avoid self-clean cycles which stress the sensor and control.
