Possible Causes
Open oven temperature sensor, Broken sensor wiring harness, Loose sensor connector at control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before testing or replacing components.
- Access sensor: Inside the oven cavity, locate the temperature sensor on the rear wall. Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward to access the connector.
- Test sensor: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance with a multimeter. At room temperature it should be ~1080 Ω. If reading is infinite (open) or very low (short), replace the sensor.
- Check harness: If the sensor tests good, trace the wiring from the sensor to the control board. Look for pinched, burned, or broken wires, especially where they pass through the rear oven wall.
- Reseat connectors: At the control board, unplug and replug the sensor connector to ensure a solid connection.
- If all wiring and sensor are good: The EOC may be misinterpreting the sensor signal and should be replaced.
