Oven temperature too hot or too cold compared to set temperature

Safety: Allow oven to cool before accessing sensor.

• Verify with thermometer: Use an accurate oven thermometer to compare actual temperature to the set temperature over several cycles.
• Adjust calibration: Many GE Profile models allow temperature adjustment in the settings menu (e.g., +/- 35°F). Follow the user manual to calibrate.
• Inspect sensor: If calibration cannot correct large errors, test the oven sensor resistance and replace if out of spec.
• Avoid foil on bottom: Do not cover the oven bottom with foil, which can affect temperature regulation.
