Possible Causes

Open bake element, Burned wire at bake element terminal, Failed bake relay on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing the element or back panel.

  • Visual inspection: Look at the bake element inside the oven for blisters, cracks, or burn spots.
  • Continuity test: Remove the element mounting screws, pull it forward, disconnect wires, and test for continuity. Replace if open.
  • Check wiring: Inspect wires at the element terminals and along the back for burns or breaks. Repair with high-temp wire if needed.
  • Control board: If the element and wiring are good, the bake relay on the EOC may have failed. Replace the EOC.
