Possible Causes
Loose or damaged ribbon cable between UI and main board, Failed user interface board, Failed main control board, Corroded connectors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing control components.
- Access controls: Remove the back cover of the control panel to expose the user interface (UI) and main control board.
- Check ribbon and harness: Ensure all ribbon cables and harness connectors between the UI and main board are fully seated and not damaged or pinched.
- Inspect for corrosion: Look for green/white corrosion on connector pins. Clean lightly with contact cleaner and a soft brush if present.
- Board substitution: If connections are good and F20 persists, replace the UI board first (if separate). If still unresolved, replace the main control board.
- Verify: After replacement, power up and test all oven and cooktop functions.
